Guadamur is a municipality in the province of Toledo, in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It is located 17 km southwest of Toledo, at an altitude of 570 m. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers and cold winters. The town has a rich history, dating back to the Roman era. It was part of the Visigothic kingdom of Toledo, and was later conquered by the Moors. In 1085, it was reconquered by Alfonso VI of Castile. The town's heritage includes the Church of San Juan Bautista, which dates back to the 16th century, and the ruins of the Castle of Guadamur, which was built by the Moors in the 10th century.
