Gropello Cairoli, also known as Gropello, is a town located in Lombardy, Italy, approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Milan. The town has a humid subtropical climate, with hot summers and cold winters. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was part of the Duchy of Milan. In 1860, the town was renamed in honor of the Italian patriot Enrico Cairoli, who was killed in battle nearby. Gropello Cairoli is known for its agricultural heritage, particularly its production of rice, and is also home to several historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of San Giovanni Battista and the Villa Cairoli.
