Green Valley, Maryland is a small unincorporated community located in Frederick County, at the intersection of Maryland Routes 66 and 80. It has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The area was originally inhabited by the Piscataway Native Americans and was later settled by European colonists in the 1700s. The community is home to several historic sites, including the Green Valley United Methodist Church, which was built in 1837.
