The Gonbad-e Qābūs is a 1,000-year-old tower located in the city of Gonbad-e Qābūs, Golestān, Iran. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most important examples of Islamic architecture in the world. The tower is made of brick and is decorated with intricate carvings. It is believed to have been built as a tomb for the Ziyarid ruler Shams al-Ma'ali Qabus. The tower is located in a desert climate and is subject to extreme temperatures.
