Garbagnate Milanese is a comune in the province of Monza e della Brianza in Lombardy, Italy. It is located approximately 15 kilometers northwest of Milan. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot summers and cool winters. Garbagnate Milanese was first mentioned in a document in 998 AD. In the Middle Ages, it was a fief of the Archbishops of Milan. In the 16th century, it was acquired by the Borromeo family. The Borromeos built a castle in Garbagnate Milanese, which is now a museum. The town is also home to the Church of San Giovanni Battista, which was built in the 15th century.
