Fraser is a city in Macomb County, Michigan, United States. It is located about 20 miles (32 km) north of Detroit and has a population of around 14,000 people. The city was founded in 1953 and is named after James Fraser, a Scottish-American businessman who owned a lumber mill in the area. Fraser has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The city is home to several parks and recreation areas, including the Fraser Recreation Complex and the Walter P. Chrysler Park.
