The post was established in 1917 and is named after Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Fort Lee is home to the United States Army Quartermaster School, the United States Army Logistics University, and the Combined Arms Support Command. The post is also a major training center for the United States Army Reserve and the Virginia Army National Guard.
