Fort Fairfield is a town in Aroostook County, Maine, USA, located at the northernmost point of the state, on the border with New Brunswick, Canada. It has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The town was founded in 1816 and named after John Fairfield, the first governor of Maine. It has a rich history as a logging and agricultural center and is home to several historic sites, including the Fort Fairfield Museum and the Aroostook Valley Country Club.
