Foreman, Arkansas, is a small town located in the southwest corner of the state, approximately 100 miles southwest of Little Rock. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Foreman was founded in 1894 as a railroad town and was named after James Foreman, the president of the Kansas City, Pittsburg and Gulf Railroad. The town's heritage is closely tied to the timber industry, and it was once a major center for lumber production.
