Flero is a comune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy. It is located in the Po Valley, on the left bank of the Oglio River. The climate is temperate, with hot summers and cold winters. Flero has a long history, dating back to the Roman era. It was first mentioned in a document from 1037. In the Middle Ages, it was a fief of the Counts of Martinengo. In 1426, it was acquired by the Republic of Venice. Flero remained under Venetian rule until 1797, when it was ceded to Austria. In 1859, it became part of the Kingdom of Italy.
