Evans, Colorado, is a city located in Weld County at the confluence of the South Platte River and St. Vrain Creek. The city has a humid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. Evans was founded in 1869 by John Evans, the second governor of the Colorado Territory. The city is home to a number of historical sites, including the Evans City Museum and the St. Vrain Historical Society Museum.
