Eunice, Louisiana, is a small town located in the southwestern part of the state, approximately 120 miles west of New Orleans. The town is known for its Cajun culture and is home to the Louisiana State Museum of Music. Eunice experiences a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The town was founded in 1884 by a group of French settlers and was named after Eunice Robert, the daughter of one of the settlers.
