Estrella, formerly known as Punta Estrella, is a 5th class municipality in the province of Palawan, Mimaropa, Philippines. It is located in the northern part of Palawan Island, facing the South China Sea. The municipality has a tropical climate, with an average temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. Estrella was founded in 1858 and was named after the star-shaped island that is located in front of the town. The municipality is known for its rich history and heritage, which includes the Estrella Church, which was built in 1860, and the Estrella Lighthouse, which was built in 1892.
