Enger is a town in the district of Herford in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located on the Werre River, about 10 km (6.2 mi) south of Bielefeld. Enger was first mentioned in a document in 1030. The town was granted city rights in 1240. Enger is home to a number of historical buildings, including the Church of St. Dionysius, which was built in the 13th century.
