Engel'-Yurt is a town in the Grozny District of the Chechen Republic, Russia. It is located on the left bank of the Terek River, at the confluence of the Aksay River, and has a population of 2,964 as of 2010. The town has a humid continental climate, with average temperatures ranging from -2.7 °C (27.1 °F) in January to 24.2 °C (75.6 °F) in July. Engel'-Yurt was founded in 1926 and is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the 18th-century mosque and the 19th-century madrasah.
