Egenhofen is a municipality in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck in Bavaria, Germany. It is located approximately 25 kilometers northwest of Munich, at an altitude of 525 meters above sea level. The municipality has a population of around 3,500 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from -1°C in January to 19°C in July. Egenhofen has a long history, dating back to the Middle Ages. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1180. The village was part of the Duchy of Bavaria from 1255 to 1806, and then part of the Kingdom of Bavaria from 1806 to 1918. After the First World War, Egenhofen became part of the Weimar Republic. The village was occupied by American troops from 1945 to 1949, and then became part of the Federal Republic of Germany.
