East Bangor is a borough in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located in the eastern part of the state, about 25 miles north of Allentown. The borough was originally known as "Bangor Church" after the Bangor Church that was built there in 1740. The name was changed to "East Bangor" in 1853 to distinguish it from the nearby town of Bangor. East Bangor has a rich history and heritage. The borough is home to several historic buildings, including the Bangor Church, the East Bangor Hotel, and the East Bangor Schoolhouse. East Bangor is also home to the East Bangor Historical Society, which preserves the history of the borough.
