Dzöölön, also known as Rinchin Lhumbu, is a town in Hövsgöl Province, Mongolia, located at the western end of Lake Hövsgöl at an elevation of 1,625 meters (5,331 feet). The town has a cold semi-arid climate with long, cold, dry winters and short, warm, dry summers. Dzöölön was founded in 1871 as a trading post and has a rich history and heritage, including being the site of a Buddhist monastery and a major center of trade for centuries.
