Drexel, Ohio, is a small village in southwest Ohio with a population of 2,363. It is located in Butler County, approximately 25 miles north of Cincinnati. The village was founded in 1817 by Quaker settlers and was originally known as West Elkton. The name was changed to Drexel in 1874 in honor of Anthony J. Drexel, a prominent Philadelphia banker and philanthropist. The climate in Drexel is humid continental, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters.
