Ditrău, Romania, is a commune located in Harghita County, Transylvania, in central Romania, at the foot of the Călimani Mountains. It has a temperate climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Ditrău has a rich history and heritage, having been first mentioned in 1332 as "Ditro". It was part of the Kingdom of Hungary until 1920, when it became part of Romania. The town is home to several historic churches and other buildings, as well as a number of cultural events and festivals throughout the year.
