Diavatós, also known as Dhiavatos, is a village in the municipality of Volvi, Central Macedonia, Greece. It is located at an altitude of 140 meters, 12 kilometers southwest of the city of Thessaloniki, on the road to Langadas. The village has a population of 2,520 people (2011 census) and covers an area of 10.5 square kilometers. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers and mild winters. The history of Diavatós dates back to the Byzantine era, when it was known as Diabatos. The village was part of the Ottoman Empire from the 15th century until the Balkan Wars in 1912, when it was liberated by the Greek army. Diavatós is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Church of the Assumption, which dates back to the 16th century, and the ruins of a Byzantine castle.
