Davisboro, Georgia, is a small town located in Washington County, Georgia, United States. It is situated at the intersection of State Route 15 and State Route 247, approximately 15 miles east of Sandersville and 20 miles west of Augusta. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Davisboro was founded in 1802 and named after Joseph Davis, the father of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. The town has a rich history and heritage, including the Davisboro Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
