Cyril is a small town in Caddo County, Oklahoma, United States, with a population of around 1,000 people. It is located in the southwestern part of the state, approximately 20 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. The town experiences a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Cyril was founded in 1901 as a station on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. The town's economy was originally based on agriculture, but it has since diversified to include manufacturing, retail, and tourism. Cyril is home to the Caddo County Historical Museum, which houses a collection of artifacts and documents related to the history of the county.
