The village's name was later changed to Crainville in 1888. Crainville has a rich history and heritage, with many of the original buildings still standing today. The village is home to several historic churches, including the First Baptist Church, which was built in 1882, and the Methodist Episcopal Church, which was built in 1890. Crainville is also home to the Crainville Museum, which houses a collection of artifacts from the village's past.
