Coria is a town in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain. It is located at an altitude of 338 meters above sea level and has a population of around 12,000 people. The town is known for its Roman and Visigothic ruins, as well as its medieval churches and convents. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers and mild winters. The town was founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC and was known as Caurium. It was later conquered by the Visigoths and the Moors. In the 13th century, it was reconquered by the Christians and became part of the Kingdom of Castile.
