Concordia, Missouri, is a small town located in Lafayette County, Missouri, United States. It is situated at the intersection of U.S. Route 65 and Missouri Route 13, approximately 20 miles south of Kansas City. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. Concordia was founded in 1839 by a group of German immigrants and was named after the Roman goddess of harmony. The town's heritage is still evident in its architecture, which includes many Victorian-era buildings.
