Concord, Virginia, is a small town located in the south-central part of the state, approximately 100 miles southwest of Richmond. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Concord was founded in 1797 and was originally known as Campbell Court House. The town is home to several historic sites, including the Campbell County Courthouse, which was built in 1819 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
