Columbia, California, also known as Kolumbija and Колумбия, is a historic town located at latitude 38.0363100 and longitude -120.4013100 in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Tuolumne County. The town has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. Columbia was founded in 1850 during the California Gold Rush and quickly became one of the largest and most prosperous gold mining towns in the state.
