College Place is a city in Walla Walla County, Washington, United States. It is located in the Walla Walla Valley, approximately 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Walla Walla. The city has a population of 9,271 as of the 2010 census. The climate is semi-arid, with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. College Place was founded in 1891 as a college town for Walla Walla College (now Walla Walla University). The city is home to several other colleges and universities, including Whitman College, Whitman College, and Walla Walla Community College.
