Coba, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Coba, also known as Cobá, is an ancient Maya city located in the municipality of Tulum in Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is located 90 km from the Caribbean coast, in the northern part of the Yucatán Peninsula. The site has a rich history dating back to the Pre-Classic period (400 BC - 250 AD) and was one of the largest and most important Maya cities during the Classic period (250 - 900 AD). Coba's heritage is reflected in its numerous well-preserved structures, including the Nohoch Mul pyramid, which is one of the tallest structures in the Maya region. The site also features a large network of sacbeob (raised causeways) that connect the various parts of the city. Coba's climate is tropical, with hot and humid summers and warm winters.
