Clinton, New Jersey, is a township located in Hunterdon County, approximately 50 miles southwest of New York City. It has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The township was founded in 1764 and named after George Clinton, the first governor of New York. It has a rich history and heritage, including the Clinton House, which was built in 1769 and served as the headquarters for George Washington during the Revolutionary War.
