Clinton, Arkansas, is a small city located in the Ozark Mountains in the north-central part of the state. The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Clinton was founded in 1833 and named after DeWitt Clinton, the governor of New York at the time. The city is home to a number of historical sites, including the Clinton House Museum and the Van Buren County Courthouse. Clinton is also known for its outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking, fishing, and camping.
