Civo is a comune in the province of Sondrio in Lombardy, Italy. It is located in the Valtellina valley, on the left bank of the Adda river. The climate is temperate, with hot summers and cold winters. The town has a long history, dating back to the Roman era. In the Middle Ages, it was a fief of the Bishop of Como. In the 16th century, it was conquered by the Swiss, who held it until the 18th century.
