Çine, also known as Hanakpinar, is a town and district in Aydın Province, Turkey, located in the Aegean Region of the country. It has a humid subtropical climate with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. The town has a rich history, with evidence of human settlement dating back to the Bronze Age. It was part of the ancient Greek city-state of Miletus and later became a part of the Roman Empire. In the 15th century, it was conquered by the Ottoman Turks and remained under their rule until the foundation of the Turkish Republic in 1923.
