Located approximately 15 kilometers southwest of Plzeň, the town has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, cloudy winters. Chrást's history dates back to the 13th century, and its heritage includes the Church of St. Bartholomew, built in the Gothic style in the 14th century.
