Chanuman is a district (amphoe) in Amnat Charoen province, northeastern Thailand. It is located in the southern part of the province, bordering Ubon Ratchathani province to the south. The district is named after the Hindu monkey god Hanuman, who is said to have rested here during his journey to Lanka. The district is known for its beautiful scenery, including the Phu Sa Dok Bua National Park, which is home to a variety of plants and animals. The district also has a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Wat Tham Pha Daeng temple, which is believed to date back to the 13th century.
