Centerville is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States. It is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of Salt Lake City and is part of the Wasatch Front metropolitan area. The city has a population of around 16,000 people and covers an area of approximately 5.5 square miles (14 km2). Centerville was founded in 1847 by Mormon pioneers and was originally known as Centerville Station. The city is home to a number of historical landmarks, including the Centerville Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The city is also home to a number of parks and recreation areas, including the Centerville City Park and the Centerville Aquatic Center.
