Cedar Bluff is a small town in Cherokee County, Alabama, United States, with a population of 1,820 as of the 2010 census. It is located in the northeastern part of the state, approximately 20 miles northeast of Centre and 30 miles southwest of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The town is situated in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Cedar Bluff was founded in 1836 and was named after a large cedar bluff that was located near the town's original site. The town has a rich history and heritage, and is home to several historic buildings and landmarks, including the Cedar Bluff Methodist Church, which was built in 1852 and is the oldest church in Cherokee County.
