Cecil-Bishop, Pennsylvania, is located in the northeastern part of the state, near the border with New York. The town has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The town was founded in 1795 by Quakers and was originally known as Bishop's Mill. The town was renamed Cecil-Bishop in 1893 in honor of Cecil B. DeMille, the famous film director.
