Çavuşlu, Mardin, Turkey, is a village located in the Artuklu district of Mardin Province, in southeastern Turkey. The village is situated at an altitude of 1,050 meters (3,445 feet) above sea level and has a temperate climate with hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters. Çavuşlu has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the ancient period. The village was once home to a number of churches and monasteries, and was a center of Christian pilgrimage. Today, Çavuşlu is a predominantly Muslim village, but it still retains some of its Christian heritage, including the ruins of several churches.
