Castro dei Volsci, also known as Castro de' Volsci, is a hilltop town in the province of Frosinone, Lazio, central Italy. The town is located in the southern part of the Monti Lepini, overlooking the Sacco River valley. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The town has a long history, dating back to the Bronze Age. It was first settled by the Volsci, an ancient Italic people, and later came under the control of the Romans. In the Middle Ages, it was part of the Papal States. The town's heritage is reflected in its many historical buildings, including the Castello dei Volsci, the Palazzo Comunale, and the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta.
