Casselton is a city in Cass County, North Dakota, United States. It is located at the intersection of Interstate 94 and U.S. Highway 81, approximately 20 miles (32 km) west of Fargo. The city has a population of 2,329 as of the 2020 census. Casselton was founded in 1871 by a group of German immigrants. The city is home to a number of businesses, including the Casselton Elevator, which is one of the largest grain elevators in the United States. Casselton is also home to the North Dakota Horse Park, which hosts a variety of equestrian events throughout the year.
