The average annual temperature is 14.5 °C and the average annual precipitation is 450 mm. Casasimarro has a rich history and heritage, with evidence of human occupation dating back to the Bronze Age. The town was founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC and was later ruled by the Moors from the 8th to the 13th centuries. In the 15th century, Casasimarro was granted a charter by King Juan II of Castile, and it became a royal town.
