Cărpinet is a village in Bihor County, Romania, located at the foot of the Apuseni Mountains, at an altitude of 250 meters. The village has a temperate continental climate, with average temperatures ranging from -1°C in January to 22°C in July. Cărpinet was first mentioned in 1291 as "Kerpenyed", and it was part of the Kingdom of Hungary until 1920, when it became part of Romania. The village has a rich cultural heritage, with several historical monuments, including the Reformed Church, built in the 15th century, and the manor house, built in the 18th century.
