Candiis is a municipality in Northern Mindanao, Philippines, situated at 8.9702800° N, 125.1841700° E in the Zamboanga Peninsula. Its climate is tropical, with an average temperature of 27.5°C and average annual rainfall of 1,800 mm. The town has a rich history, dating back to the pre-colonial period when it was part of the Maguindanao Sultanate. It was later colonized by the Spaniards and Americans, and became a municipality in 1951. Candiis is home to several historical sites, including the Candiis Church, which was built in 1880, and the Candiis Municipal Hall, which was built in 1918.
