Callahan is a small town located in Nassau County, Florida, United States, approximately 20 miles north of Jacksonville. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Callahan was founded in 1891 as a railroad stop and was named after Patrick Callahan, an early settler. The town has a rich heritage, with many historic buildings and sites, including the Callahan Depot Museum and the Callahan Methodist Church.
