Caliente, Nevada, is a small town located in Lincoln County, in the southern part of the state. It is situated at the junction of U.S. Route 93 and State Route 317, approximately 130 miles northeast of Las Vegas. The town has a warm desert climate, with hot summers and mild winters. Caliente was established in 1865 as a stagecoach stop on the Old Spanish Trail. It later became a railroad town and a center for mining and ranching. The town's heritage is reflected in its historic buildings, including the Caliente Depot, which is now a museum.
