Caldogno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Vicenza in the Italian region Veneto, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) west of Venice and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) southwest of Vicenza. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot summers and cold winters. Caldogno has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the Roman era. The town was first mentioned in a document from 1045 AD, and it was later ruled by the Scaligeri and the Visconti families. In the 15th century, Caldogno became part of the Republic of Venice, and it remained under Venetian rule until the 18th century. The town's most famous landmark is the Villa Caldogno, a Palladian villa designed by Andrea Palladio in the 16th century.
