Brodnica is a town in northern Poland, situated in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. It lies on the Drwęca River, a tributary of the Vistula River. The town has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Brodnica's history dates back to the 13th century, when it was founded by the Teutonic Knights. It became a major trading center and was granted city rights in 1365. Brodnica has a rich heritage, including the Gothic Church of St. Nicholas, the Renaissance Town Hall, and the Baroque St. Peter and Paul Church.
