Bristol, Pennsylvania is a borough located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is situated on the Delaware River, across from Burlington, New Jersey. The borough has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Bristol was founded in 1681 by Quaker settlers and was named after Bristol, England. It was an important shipbuilding center in the 18th and 19th centuries and is home to the historic Bristol Wharf District.
